Seller Terms & Conditions

Welcome to www.timetofurnish.com (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our multi-seller online marketplace that connects customers with local furniture sellers (“Sellers”). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Overview of the Platform

Timetofurnish operates as an online marketplace where independent Sellers list and sell furniture items. We do not own, manufacture, or ship any items unless explicitly stated. All items are sold directly by the Sellers, and each Seller is responsible for the products they list.

2. Seller Accounts 

2.1 Seller Eligibility

To become a Seller on our Platform, you must:


  • Only legally registered local furniture shops or an individual legally permitted to sell goods are eligible to list products on our platform.

  • Comply with all applicable local regulations for selling goods.

  • Provide accurate business and contact information.

  • Maintain up-to-date registration, identification, and compliance documents, if requested.


We reserve the right to verify or reject Seller applications.

2.2. Seller Responsibility

2.2.1 Product Listings

Sellers must provide:

  • High-quality and original product images

  • Accurate titles, descriptions, dimensions, materials, pricing, and availability

  • Honest representation of product condition (new or refurbished)

  • Listings must not include misleading claims, copyrighted images without permission, or counterfeit items.

  • Sellers agree to keep all product information updated at all times.

2.2.2 Inventory & Availability

  • Sellers must ensure that listed products are available and ready for order fulfilment.

  • Out-of-stock or discontinued items must be reported to our team immediately so we can update or remove them from the website.

2.2.3 Order Fulfilment & Shipping

Time To Furnish will manage customer order processing and coordinate delivery through its logistics partners. Sellers must:


  • Prepare items for collection in a timely and secure manner.

  • Ensure products are safely packaged for transport.   Handle packaging and shipping responsibly.

  • Meet agreed preparation and handover timelines.

2.2.4 Product Quality & Condition

  • All products must meet the quality standards expected of new (or clearly marked refurbished) furniture and match the listing.

  • Damaged or defective items should not be listed. Sellers are responsible for the quality of the product delivered to the customer.

2.2.5 Communication & Support

  • Sellers must respond to inquiries from our team promptly (within 1-2 business days).

  • Any changes in product availability, pricing, or delays must be communicated to us as soon as possible.

3. Payment & 14-Day Money Hold Policy

3.1 Payment Processing

  • All customer payments are processed by Time To Furnish and remit earnings to Sellers on a scheduled basis (e.g., bi-weekly or monthly).

  • A commission fee (agreed upon in advance) will be deducted from each sale to cover platform usage, marketing, and order management services.

3.2 14-Day Payment Hold

Seller earnings are held for 14 days after an order is marked as delivered. This allows us to manage:

  • Disputes opened by the customer.

  • Damage claims

  • Missing delivery confirmation

  • Potential fraud checks

3.3 Seller Payouts

After the 14-day period, and if no disputes exist, payouts are automatically released to the Seller’s registered payment account.

4. Damage, Returns & Refunds

4.1 Seller Liability for Damaged Items


Sellers are fully responsible for ensuring items arrive in good condition. If the customer receives a damaged or defective item, the Seller must: 


  • Accept the return

  • Refund the full amount of the order (including shipping, if applicable).

4.2 Dispute Process

If an item arrives damaged, and the customer reports the issue with photo evidence. Then:


  • Payment will remain on hold.

  • The seller must cooperate with the review.

  • Refunds must be processed promptly if the seller is at fault.

4.3 Non-Delivery

  • If an order is not delivered to the customer or is delivered to the wrong address, the Seller remains fully liable and must issue a full refund for the order.

5. Prohibited Seller Activities

Sellers may not:

  • List counterfeit, illegal, unsafe, or recalled items.

  • Misrepresent product condition or origin.

  • Items that violate copyright or trademark laws.

  • Upload misleading photos or copyrighted images without the rights.

  • Artificially inflate reviews or ratings.

  • Attempt to bypass the Platform’s payment system.

Violation may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Platform Fees

Time To Furnish may apply fees, including:

  • Listing fees

  • Transaction or commission fees

  • Service or promotional fees


All fees are visible in the Seller Dashboard and may change with notice.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Seller accounts for:

  • Repeated customer complaints

  • Listing prohibited or unsafe items

  • Poor product quality

  • Failure to fulfil orders

  • Fraudulent behaviour

  • Unresponsiveness or non-cooperation


We may also remove listings that violate marketplace standards.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our role is limited to providing the platform and supporting dispute resolution. www.timetofurnish.com is not responsible for:

  • Damaged items (Seller is liable).

  • Shipping delays or delivery failures by the Seller.

  • Product defects, safety issues or inaccuracies in product descriptions.

  • Losses arising from Seller misconduct.

9. Amendments to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

  • Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of updates.

  • Sellers will be notified of major changes via email or dashboard alerts.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with the use of Time To Furnish shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
